Happy Birthday Rhapsody
Radio Heatherwood's Rhapsody service celebrates 6 years of service to
Heatherwood. The automated service providing twenty four hours of music
news and information seven days a week was launched on this day in 2003.
Our thanks go out to Ascot Fire Brigade Trust and Sunninghill Fuel
Allotment Trust who along with the League of Friends funded the venture.

Happy Birthday Radio Heatherwood
Today marks the official 33rd birthday for the radio service. A lot of
water under that bridge over the years a number of changes, too numerous
to mention, and a lot of good people passed through our doors.
These are difficult times for the radio service with worries about ward
closures, hospital changing, recruitment, funding etc, These might be the
current issues for the radio but over the years the radio has had to deal
with lots of hurdles.
The testimony to the radio service is patients and staff still appreciate
the service and no matter what we have to overcome, Radio Heatherwood will
always be the patients choice.
The league of friends and all it's volunteers thanks all those past and
present who continue to help Radio Heatherwood remain the voice of
Heatherwood.

Stay Tuned
The staff of ward 1G were beneficiaries of a brand new digital push button
radio recently.
When there ward radio suffered from years of abuse, ( and that was just
from the radio staff ) listening to the radio service, it was time for a
replacement.
After the request for help was received the radio staff sprung into action
to ensure the ward radio for patients and staff was replaced in no time at
all. Tuned to their favourite radio station, the staff sent us there
thanks along with a few more requests. Thanks Ladies
