The following newsletter was distributed to members of
the society as a means of informing them of events etc.
This newsletter compiled in December 1971 is a compendium of the league's
gifts to the hospital since it's inception. League Secretary Mrs Val
Mason.
It is some time since you last heard
from the league of Friends. Since last writing to you, we have of course
held the summer fete which raised about £750. Again out thanks are due to
the generosity of our members.
Many of you are probably unaware of
just what the league has achieved since it’s formation in 1958 and it has
been suggested that we list as part of the newsletter, our achievements
from the outset of the league. After reading through the list, I am sure
that you will agree the league may be proud of these accomplishments. We
look forward to continued success and to support from you our members.
