Invitation to the League of Friends
The membership of the league of friends in the early years was at one point as high as 1000 members. This was achieved by local subscription. A years subscription was 2/-, collectors for different local areas and leaflets inviting people to join were used. The local area collectors were very important to the league and their splendid support ensured a regular income for the league.
Various versions of the leaflets were used up until the 1970's. The last leaflet produced was in 1972.
