A Step Back In Time

Welcome to Heatherwood in picture. The following pages carries some more recent photo's of Heatherwood Hospital. On a warm October Sunday morning I took the opportunity to walk round the site and capture the current views of the buildings and site.

Where possible we have detailed some information about the pictures.
This is just a snapshot of the hospital in 2005.

Covered Walkway

The covered walkway until last year was open all the way round but in the last eighteen months they have changed the sides to incorporate windows and prevent the wind and rain blowing through. The section between wards 4 and 5 were the first to be converted, the walkway by wards 2 and 1 are still in various stages of conversion. During the summer months the walkway is normally decked out with hanging baskets.
