The League of Friends has been established at Heatherwood since 1958. In 1990
the Heatherwood league was registered as a charity( No 900282 ). The League has
celebrated 50 years of voluntary service at Heatherwood hospital Ascot.

The League is a dedicated group of local people, who aim to improve the
facilities for patients and staff of Heatherwood hospital. Generous public
donations, income from capital investments and ambitious fund-raising
activities, have made possible the purchase of much needed equipment and
services. Over 341 projects have been funded by the league.

Patients Request Service ( Radio Heatherwood ) Established Since 1976
( Visiting The Wards Each Evening: Providing A Friend At The Bedside ). Radio
Heatherwood
has raised over £80,000 and provided many hours of enjoyment for
patients.
